Sunflower seed exports from Ukraine to the EU up 6%

Sunflower seed exports in September-April 2019/20 totaled 35 KMT (down 55% year-on-year), UkrAgroConsult reports.
As before, the key importer this season is the EU (up 66% year-on-year and 58% of total exports).
Turkey slashed purchases by 90%. The April surge in exports stemmed from the imposition of a ban on sunflower seed exports outside the EEU.
Growth in exports was registered to the following markets: Georgia (+234%), China (+156%), Iraq (+141%).
A slowdown in exports was observed to countries such as: Azerbaijan (-98%), Sweden (-90%), Netherlands (-26%).
