Kazakhstan to export a record high volume of sunflower oil

The first half of MY 2019/20 witnessed record high exports of sunflower oil from Kazakhstan, totaling 54.5 KMT (+35% from MY 2018/19), UkrAgroConsult reports.
Following the imposition of restrictions on sunflower seed exports outside the EEU, Kazakhstan introduced sunflower oil export quotas until September 2020 (the quotas for April and May equal 10 KMT each).
Exportable supplies in MY 2019/20 will stay at a record level.
China is the biggest importer (a 55% export share), its purchases increased by almost 131%.
Accelerated exports was observed to Uzbekistan (+25%), Japan (+294%), Afghanistan.
A slowdown in exports was registered to Tajikistan (-60%), the Netherlands (-59%) and Belgium (-79%).
