Ukraine’s rapeseed processing reaches a record high
Ukraine processed 1.3 mln tons of rapeseed in the MY 2025/26, equivalent to 42% of the country’s total harvest, setting a record for rapeseed processing since records began.
This was reported by the Ukroliaprom Association.
Rapeseed oil production increased to 380.47 thsd tons in 2025, driven by a significant expansion in domestic processing following the introduction of higher export duties on rapeseed.
“Compared to the pre-war period, rapeseed oil production increased by 2.1 times (184.8 thousand tons in 2021). Compared to 2022, when production totaled 62.9 thousand tons, output in 2025 increased 6.1-fold. Compared to 2023 (299.3 thousand tons) and 2024 (171.8 thousand tons), production in 2025 rose by 1.3 and 2.2 times, respectively,” the association said.
Rapeseed meal production reached 540.46 thsd tons in 2025, exceeding the 2021 level (246.68 thousand tons) by 2.2 times, the 2022 level (78.76 thousand tons) by 6.9 times, and the 2023 (375.78 thousand tons) and 2024 (301.99 thousand tons) levels by 1.4 and 1.8 times, respectively.
