Supplies of Ukrainian wheat to Egyptian ports increased in May
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, as of May 12, since the beginning of 2022/23 MY, Ukraine exported 43.336 mln tonnes of grains and pulses, including 1.45 mln tonnes in May.
Also, in May, the supply of Ukrainian wheat to Egyptian ports increased, according to the statistics of the Egyptian trading and transportation company LATT. During the first ten days of May, 118.4 thsd tonnes of wheat were delivered to Egyptian ports.
According to experts, in the reporting period, the volume of Ukrainian wheat supplies amounted to 65 thsd tonnes, which is significantly higher than the result in the same period in April (7.05 thsd tonnes). In total, since the beginning of 2023 (January 1 – May 10), the company delivered 3.67 mln tonnes of wheat to the Egyptian ports, including 274.3 thsd tonnes from Ukraine.
