The list of grain importers from Ukraine will be removed from the website of the Polish Ministry of Agrarian Policy
The list of grain importers from Ukraine posted on the website of the Polish Ministry of Agrarian Policy has become a source of losses for many companies.
This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland Czeslaw Siekerski, wiescirolnicze.pl reports.
He said that the list would be removed from the ministry’s website.
“In the public perception, this list is considered to be a list of entities that imported so-called technical grain, which caused many negative consequences for many companies,” Sekerski said.
He added that since the publication of the list, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy has received numerous complaints, demands and expectations of corrections and lawsuits, which confirmed the Minister’s belief that “the decision to publish the list was wrong and irresponsible.”
“At the same time, I would like to apologize to all business entities included in the list that have suffered any damage or experienced problems as a result of this decision,” Sekersky added.
Context. In November 2023, the Polish Ministry of Agrarian Policy published a list of companies importing grain from Ukraine on its website, the file contained 62 pages. At the time, representatives of the Polish grain market criticized the ministry’s decision.
At the end of February 2024, it became known that an anonymous list of about 500 Polish companies that imported grain from Ukraine had appeared on the Internet.
