Sugar beet processing in Ukraine crossed 6.7 mln t

As of November 8th, plants in Ukraine produced 984.7 thou. t of sugar, the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine informs.

6.67 mln t of sugar beet were processed by the reporting date. 31 plants started beet sugar production season.

As of November 9, 2018, the Ukrainian refineries produced 1.12 mln t of sugar.

As estimated by the analytical department of Ukrsugar, sugar export in 2019/2020 should reach 300 thou. t.

By November 6th, harvesting of sugar beet reached 8.4 mln t on 192 thou. ha. The crop is harvested using the average yield of 49 t/ha.
