Half a million tons of wheat from the new harvest were exported
The volume of exports of grains and pulses from Ukraine in 2023/24 MY as of July 24 amounted to about 1.7 mln tonnes, up 19% compared to the same period last season (1.4 mln tonnes). This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service, published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Thus, since the beginning of the season, 563 thsd tonnes of wheat have been shipped, up 73% compared to last year.
Barley supplies to foreign markets amounted to 184 thsd tonnes (40% more).
Rye was shipped in the amount of 0.3 thousand tons.
Ukraine exported 915 thousand tons of corn, which is 3% less than the volume of shipments on the same date last season.
In 2023/24 MY, Ukraine exported 7.1 thsd tonnes of flour, up 92% compared to the same period last season (3.7 thsd tonnes).
For reference: in 2022/23 MY, the exports of grains and pulses totaled 49 mln tonnes: wheat – 16.8 mln tonnes, barley – 2.7 mln tonnes, rye – 18 thsd tonnes, corn – 29.1 mln tonnes, flour – 153.6 thsd tonnes.
