Commodity Weather Group reports warmer temperatures in the Plains and far west Midwest are aiding soil temperatures this week and fieldwork is favored in the corn belt next week. However, the group expects the frequency of showers and the return of cool air will limit fieldwork for next two weeks in the northern Plains and far northwest Midwest.
The group also says showers are likely in the far northwest part of the Midwest early this weekend before scattering eastward and ending as one to three inches of snow in eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
