Corn harvesting has started in Ukraine

Ukraine has harvested almost 33 million tons of new crops on an area of 8.511 mln ha. Farmers in Poltava and Cherkasy regions have started harvesting corn, which has been threshed on an area of 6.6 thsd ha.
In total, the company harvested 28.7 million tons of grain and 4.2 million tons of oilseeds:
- wheat – threshed on an area of 4.863 mln hectares, harvested 21.76 mln tons;
- barley – 1.399 mln hectares were harvested, with a harvest of 5.5 mln tons;
- peas – threshed on 207.6 thsd ha, harvested 458.5 thsd tons.
- millet – 24.7 thsd ha were threshed, 45.5 thsd tons were harvested.
- buckwheat – 12.4 thsd ha harvested, 18.3 thsd tons.
- rapeseed – 1.229 mln ha were harvested, 3,403 mln tons of seeds were harvested;
- sunseed – 256.5 thsd ha were harvested, 419.4 thsd tons of seeds were harvested;
- soybeans – 223.7 thsd ha were harvested, 381.8 thsd tons of seeds were harvested.
In terms of grain harvesting, agrarians of Odesa region are the leaders, having threshed 1.084 mln ha. Khmelnytsky region is ahead in terms of yields, with 6.55 t/ha.
Farmers in four regions – Vinnytsia, Lviv, Poltava and Ternopil – are harvesting sugar beet, which has already been dug up on an area of 1.2 thsd ha.
