Corn futures for the week declined amid improving crop conditions in the US
CBOT corn futures declined for the July 26 – August 1. During the week the price decreased by 24.0 USc to 382.0 USC/bu.
Weather conditions are expected to improve in the US, and the percentage of corn crops rated good/excellent increased to 68%, although the market expected crop conditions to deteriorate. The main factor is the lack of Chinese demand for US corn.
