Wheat reserves in Kazakhstan exceed 8.4 million tons
On April 1, 2024, stocks of cereals and legumes in Kazakhstan exceeded 10.5 million tons, of which wheat – 8.4 million tons. This is reported by the Bureau of National Statistics.
Of the total volume of cereals, food stocks are more than 6.9 million tons, seeds – more than 1.1 million tons and fodder – more than 2.3 million tons.
There were more than 6 million tons of food wheat in storage, more than 933 thousand tons in seed stocks, and more than 1 .4 million tons of fodder.
According to the statistical data, on April 1, there were more than 2.7 million tons of wheat in storage of agricultural producers, more than 2.8 million tons in elevators, more than 1.3 million tons in farms, and more than 127 thousand tons at wholesalers. Stocks of flour millers exceeded 897 thousand tons and more than 429 thousand tons at other legal entities.
Barley stocks amounted to more than 1.3 million tons: more than 504 thousand tons – food, more than 160 thousand tons – seeds and more than 705 thousand tons – fodder.
In addition, stocks of corn in Kazakhstan exceeded 140 thousand tons, rice – 171 thousand tons, rye – 20 thousand tons, oats – more than 106 thousand tons, buckwheat – more than 71 thousand tons.
