Ukrainian grain exports almost reached last year’s figures
As of May 10, in 2023/2024 MY Ukraine exported 42 mln 910 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses, which is 31 thsd tonnes less than last year. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Exports of Ukrainian wheat amounted to 16 mln 386 thsd tonnes, which is 1 mln 640 thsd tonnes or 1.1 times more than last year.
Ukrainian farmers also exported 2 million 235 thousand tons of barley and 1.3 thousand tons of rye.
Exports of Ukrainian corn amounted to 23 mln 807 thsd tonnes, which is 1 mln 559 thsd tonnes or 1.06 times less than last year.
In addition, 88.7 thousand tons of flour (or 117.1 thousand tons in terms of grain) were exported, which is 43.3 thousand tons or almost 1.48 times less than last year.
Preliminary data on grain and legume exports were published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy on May 8. According to them, in 2023/2024 MY, 42 mln 406 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses were exported.
As a reminder, the exports of agricultural products in the first half of 2023/24 MY are 17% lower than last year.
