Ukraine to train specialists for agricultural projects in African countries
Ukraine is shifting from traditional food supply models toward a comprehensive partnership approach by transferring agricultural knowledge, technologies, and practical expertise to African countries.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.
To train specialists who will work on such international projects, the Ministry of Economy together with the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (NUBiP) is launching a new format of integration between the state, education, and science.
The initiative provides for:
- launching joint internship programs;
- practical training;
- professional exchange programs for students and young specialists.
A special focus will be placed on building teams for international agricultural initiatives in African countries, particularly for work in agrohubs — centers for food processing and distribution. Through such hubs, Ukraine aims to help partner countries strengthen local processing infrastructure, improve food security, and implement modern technologies.
Students and young professionals will gain opportunities to work on real-world cases in economics, agricultural policy, natural resource management, and environmental modernization. They will also participate in cooperation with government institutions, international programs, and food security projects.
The parties will additionally promote knowledge exchange among students, lecturers, researchers, and public sector representatives, which is expected to accelerate the implementation of modern methodologies and practical solutions in training future specialists.
