The harvest has begun in Ukraine. About one hundred thousand tons of various crops have already been harvested. The harvest starts with barley, peas and wheat. These are early grains and legumes and are expected to produce about 56 million tons.
Oilseeds are expected to reach over 20 million tons. These are good figures, as this is the third sowing season since Russia’s full-scale invasion.
This was announced by Taras Vysotsky, Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on the air of the Suspilne TV channel.
According to him, farmers are harvesting 80% of agricultural land, as about 18-20% of the land is under temporary occupation.
