Ukraine exported over 46.3 million tons of grain
As of May 31, in 2023/2024 MY Ukraine exported 46 mln 353 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses, which is 1 mln 433 thsd tonnes more than last year. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Exports of Ukrainian wheat amounted to 17 mln 236 thsd tonnes, which is 1 mln 888 thsd tonnes or 1.1 times more than last year.
Ukrainian farmers also exported 2 million 381 thousand tons of barley and 1.6 thousand tons of rye.
Exports of Ukrainian corn amounted to 26 mln 484 thsd tonnes, which is 384 thsd tonnes less than last year.
In addition, 91.6 thou tons of flour (or 122.1 thou tons in terms of grain) were shipped abroad, which is 45.4 thou tons or 1.5 times less than last year.
Preliminary data on grain and legume exports were published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy on May 29. According to them, in 2023/2024 MY, 46 mln 353 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses were exported.
As a reminder, the exports of agricultural products in the first half of 2023/24 MY are 17% lower than last year.
