Ukraine exported 26 million tons of grain via the Black Sea corridor – Kubrakov
The Ukrainian corridor in the Black Sea has allowed the export of about 40 million tons of cargo, including 26 million tons of grain.
This was announced by Oleksandr Kubrakov, Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine, Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure (Ministry of Reconstruction), at the US-Ukraine Partnership Forum 2024.
According to him, in January-March 2024, the ports of the Danube Cluster handled more than 5.6 million tons of cargo, including 4 million tons for export.
“Despite all the challenges, we feel the support of the US Government and the American private sector,” Kubrakov said.
He reminded that the U.S. Export-Import Bank had previously approved a $156.6 million loan for the purchase of 40 diesel locomotives for Ukrzaliznytsia.
Earlier it was reported that in early April, exports through the Ukrainian sea corridor reached 36 million tons.
It was also reported that in January-March, the ports of the Danube cluster handled about 6.7 million tons of cargo (1.7 million tons in January, 2.2 million tons in February and 2.8 million tons in March).
