Soybean planting pace remains strong in Brazil despite some regional delays
The planting of the new Brazilian soybean crop again had a good week in most producing states. Despite this, some states that received heavier rainfall in recent days had a slower pace, such as the states of Paraná and Mato Grosso do Sul.

The percentage is equivalent to approximately 8.213 mln hectares sown, out of a total of 42.887 mln hectares estimated for planting. In the previous week, the percentage was 9.7%. In the same period of the previous year, the index reached 21.1%, while the five-year average for the period is 15%.

Weather forecasts now point to the maintenance of slightly higher moisture in the South Region and part of Mato Grosso do Sul between October 14 and 20, which may again prevent a better work advance. The Midwest and Southeast regions must receive less rainfall, while in the Northeast the moisture must be very low.
Between October 21 and 27, relevant moisture must spread throughout the country, with a smaller accumulated volume expected only for Rio Grande do Sul.
