Soft wheat and barley improved in France
The condition of soft wheat and barley crops in France improved last week, according to a report by state agency FranceAgriMer. This is reported by the agency Zerno On-Line.
The share of soft wheat crops in good and excellent condition rose to 62% (61% a week earlier and 88% a year ago), winter barley – to 64% (66% and 88%), spring barley – to 74% (73% and 89%). Development rates of soft wheat and winter barley are slightly ahead of last year.
The proportion of durum wheat crops in good to excellent condition decreased during the week to 63% (64% and 82%). Durum wheat development is four days behind last year and five days behind the five-year average.
