More than 46.3 million tons of Ukrainian grain were exported
As of May 29, in 2023/2024 MY Ukraine exported 46 mln 353 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses, which is 1 mln 434 thsd tonnes more than last year. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Exports of Ukrainian wheat amounted to 17 mln 236 thsd tonnes, which is 1 mln 858 thsd tonnes or 1.1 times more than last year.
Ukrainian farmers also exported 2 million 375 thousand tons of barley and 1.5 thousand tons of rye.
Exports of Ukrainian corn amounted to 26 mln 215 thsd tonnes, which is 376 thsd tonnes less than last year.
In addition, 91.6 thou tons of flour (or 122.1 thou tons in terms of grain) were shipped abroad, which is 48.8 thou tons or 1.5 times less than last year.
Preliminary data on grain and legume exports were published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy on May 27. According to them, in 2023/2024 MY, 45 mln 760 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses were exported.
As a reminder, the exports of agricultural products in the first half of 2023/24 MY are 17% lower than last year.
