Harvest in Ukraine is 98% complete

Ukraine has harvested 72.9 million tons of new grains and oilseeds on an area of 19.5 million hectares. In total, 53.4 million tons of grains and almost 19.5 million tons of oilseeds were harvested. 98% of the projected area has been threshed.
In particular
- wheat – 4.9 million hectares (or 100%) have been threshed, with a harvest of 22.4 million tons
- barley – 1.4 million hectares (or 100%) have been harvested, with a harvest of 5.6 million tons
- peas – 212.3 thou hectares (or 100%), harvested 469 thou tons;
- corn – 3.7 million hectares (or 94%) were harvested, with a total harvest of 23.6 million tons;
- millet – 88.2 thousand hectares (or 97%) were harvested, with a total harvest of 161.3 thousand tons;
- buckwheat – 88.1 thsd hectares (or 99%), 131.7 thsd tons harvested;
- sunseed – 4.9 million hectares (or 97%) were harvested, with 10.1 million tons of seeds harvested;
- soybeans – 2.6 million hectares (or 99%) were harvested, with 6 million tons of seeds harvested;
- rapeseed – 1.2 million hectares (or 100%) were harvested, with 3.5 million tons of seeds harvested.
In terms of gross grain harvest, the leaders are farmers in Odesa region – 4.6 mln tonnes, Chernihiv region – 4.4 mln tonnes, and Poltava region – 4.2 mln tonnes. In terms of yields, farmers in Khmelnytsky region are ahead with 7.75 t/ha, Chernihiv region – 6.98 t/ha, and Ternopil region – 6.8.2 t/ha.
Farmers are completing sugar beet harvesting on 251.2 thousand hectares, or 97% of the area. The company has harvested 12 million tons of sweet roots.
