Grain exports from Ukraine exceeded 49.5 mln tons
As of June 21, in 2023/2024 MY Ukraine exported 49 mln 540 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses, which is 1 mln 116 thsd tonnes or 2.3% more than last year. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Exports of Ukrainian wheat amounted to 18 mln 123 thsd tonnes, which is 1 mln 498 thsd tonnes or 9.01% more than last year.
Ukrainian farmers also exported 2 million 461 thousand tons of barley and 1.6 thousand tons of rye.
Exports of Ukrainian corn amounted to 28 mln 416 thsd tonnes, which is 377 thsd tonnes less than last year.
In addition, 96.7 thousand tons of flour (or 128.9 thousand tons in terms of grain) were shipped abroad, which is 54.3 thousand tons, or almost 56% less than last year.
The preliminary data on grain and pulses exports were published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy on June 19. According to them, in 2023/2024 MY the total export volume of grains and pulses was 49 mln 274 thsd tonnes.
