Grain exports exceeded 43.2 million tons
As of May 13, in 2023/2024 MY Ukraine exported 43 mln 206 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses, which is 392 thsd tonnes less than last year. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Exports of Ukrainian wheat amounted to 16 mln 412 thsd tonnes, which is 1 mln 432 thsd tonnes or 1.09 times more than last year.
Ukrainian farmers also exported 2 million 242 thousand tons of barley and 1.3 thousand tons of rye.
Exports of Ukrainian corn amounted to 23 mln 069 thsd tonnes, which is 1 mln 675 thsd tonnes or 1.06 times less than last year.
In addition, 89.2 thousand tons of flour (or 118.9 thousand tons in terms of grain) were exported, which is 45.0 thousand tons or almost 1.5 times less than last year.
Preliminary data on grain and legume exports were published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy on May 10. According to them, in 2023/2024 MY, 42 mln 910 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses were exported.
As a reminder, the exports of agricultural products in the first half of 2023/24 MY are 17% lower than last year.
