Forecast of corn harvest and exports from Ukraine in MY 2024/25 decreased by half a million tons – USDA report
In their August report, USDA analysts lowered their forecast for Ukraine’s corn production in 2024/25 MY by half a million tons to 27.2 mln tonnes. The export potential was also reduced by 0.5 mln tons to 24 mln tons. The carry-over stocks are expected to reach 0.73 million tons, which is 0.05 million tons higher than the previous forecast.
World corn production in 2024/25 season is forecasted at 1 219.82 million tons (-4.97 million tons to the previous forecast). The estimate of world corn exports is 191.47 million tons (-0.34 million tons), forecast of ending stocks is 310.17 million tons (-1.47 million tons).
USDA analysts increased the estimate of corn production in the United States – 384.74 million tons (+1.18 million tons), exports – 58.42 million tons (+1.9 million tons) and ending stocks – 52.67 million tons (-0.59 million tons).

USDA experts left unchanged the forecast of corn harvest in China at 292 million tons, imports – 23 million tons, ending stocks – 212.84 million tons.
