Exports of frozen raspberries brought Ukraine a record €250.8 million
Ukraine set a new record for frozen raspberry export revenues in the 2025/26 season (June–May). According to the Ukrainian Berries Association, the country exported 63.3 thsd tons of frozen raspberries, up 7% from the previous season.
The main driver behind the record revenues was a sharp increase in prices. The average export price of Ukrainian frozen raspberries reached €3.96/kg, up 54% year-on-year. As a result, export revenues surged by 65% to a record €250.8 mln.
Prices remained high at the end of the season. In May, Ukraine exported around 2.9 thsd tons of frozen raspberries at an average price of €3.95/kg. EU countries remained the main destinations, particularly Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany.
Favorable market conditions for Ukrainian exporters could continue into the 2026/27 season. One of the key factors is an expected 20–30% decline in Serbia’s raspberry harvest. Uneven conditions across raspberry plantations in Poland could further constrain supply on the European market.
Against this backdrop, frozen raspberry prices could remain high in the new season, supporting Ukrainian suppliers. Industry experts recommend that producers plan procurement volumes, contracting and export strategies in advance, taking into account the potential decline in supplies from Ukraine’s main European competitors.
