Confrontation between France and Poland makes us look for new markets for Ukrainian products
France will support Poland in preventing Ukraine from bringing grain to Europe. They will come up with legislative constructions, sanitary inspections and restrict exports.
This was stated by Mykola Gorbachev, President of the Ukrainian Grain Association, during the BLACK SEA GRAIN. KYIV 2024 CONFERENCE.
“At the same time, our business will look for new markets for agricultural products, and we will find them. Whether it will be Africa or supplying additional volumes to Asia, we will still sell all the grain,” said the UGA President.
According to him, there will be competition, and Ukraine may need to give up something and build up its capacities.
“But we don’t have a deep pocket where businesses could get in and build, for example, a terminal in Egypt to receive their grain there or transport it by barge along the Nile. There are few companies in Ukraine that can do this,” explained the UGA president.
