China’s grain production in 2023 reaches an all-time high
The volume of grain production in China in 2023 amounted to 695 million tons, a new record. This was announced by Premier Li Qiang of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China as part of the report on government work at the National People’s Congress.
“Grain production amounted to 695 million tons, reaching a historic high. The supply of energy and other resources remained stable,” Li Qiang said.
He also noted that the self-sufficiency and controllability of key production and supply chains have improved.
