Australia exported 2.54 mln tons of wheat in June
According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), in June 2025 the country exported 2.54 million tonnes of wheat, including 36.6 thousand tonnes of durum. This is slightly less than in May, but in total for the first three quarters of the MY 2024/25, which in Australia runs from October 1 to September 30 next year, total shipments of wheat and durum reached 17.58 million tonnes.
Within the framework of container shipments in June, the largest markets were Malaysia (26.3 thousand tonnes), Taiwan (25.2 thousand tonnes) and Thailand (24.5 thousand tonnes). In terms of bulk shipments, the leaders were Indonesia (628.8 thousand tonnes), the Philippines (316.3 thousand tonnes) and South Africa (171 thousand tonnes).
In the nine months to June 2025, the largest wholesale buyers of Australian wheat remain Indonesia (2.78 million tonnes), the Philippines (2.12 million tonnes) and China (1.36 million tonnes), with export volumes in June this year more than double the figure for June 2024 (1.25 million tonnes).
