As of mid-January, 10% of corn in Ukraine remained in the fields
As of mid-January, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, 10% of corn crops remained unharvested.
The largest percentage of unharvested corn remained in the fields:
Kherson region – 45%
Kharkiv region – 38%
Sumy region – 32%.
Also, the harvesting of the crop has not been completed in Chernihiv, Dnipro, and Poltava regions.
The average corn yield in Ukraine in 2023 is 7.7 t/ha. The highest average yield was obtained by farmers in Khmelnytsky region – 10.4 t/ha. The lowest was 2.8 t/ha in Kherson region.
It should be noted that at the beginning of 2023, 6% of corn remained in the field.
