US is reducing duties on agricultural machinery imports.
The Trump administration will temporarily lower tariffs on imported agricultural and construction equipment to stimulate investment and boost production in the country’s industrial sector.
The tariff on imported agricultural and construction equipment will be reduced to 15% from 25%, according to a White House statement. Foreign companies will be eligible for an even lower tariff of 10% if their equipment contains at least 85% U.S. steel or aluminum.
The changes will take effect on June 8 and remain in effect until the end of 2027.
