Ukrainian wheat demand increases
For the week of January 30 – February 6 demand in the wheat market has begun to increase, though this cannot be said of supply.
Prices for feed and milling wheat have risen by $2-3/mt to reach $222-230/mt CPT Odesa, depending on quality.
This price increase is due to logistical issues affecting competitors: ships in russian ports are experiencing loading delays of 7-15 days. Against this backdrop, several consignments of Ukrainian milling wheat were sold to Egypt at a price of $245-250/mt CIF Mediterranean ports.
