Ukrainian farmers harvested 63.7 mln tons of grains and oilseeds

Ukraine has already harvested almost 63.7 million tons of new grains and oilseeds on an area of 18.1 mln hectares. In total, 45.1 mln tons of grains and 18.6 mln tons of oilseeds were harvested.

In particular

• wheat – 4.9 mln hectares (or 100%), harvested 22.3 mln tons
• barley – 1.4 mln hectares (or 100%), harvested 5.5 mln tons
• peas – 212.2 thsd hectares (or 100%), harvested 465.3 thsd tons;
• corn – 2.7 mln hectares (or 67%), harvested 15.4 mln tons;
• millet – 85.1 thsd hectares (or 92%), harvested 159.5 thsd tons;
• buckwheat – 87.5 thsd hectares (or 98%), harvested 126.9 thsd tons;
• sunseed – 4.6 mln hectares (or 94%) , harvested  9.5 mln tons;
• soybeans – 2.5 mln hectares (or 93%) , harvested 5.6 mln tons;
• rapeseed – 1.3 mln hectares (or 100%), harvested 3.5 mln tons.

Farmers in 15 regions are harvesting sugar beet. Sugar beets have been dug on 170.6 thsd hectares (or 66%), and 8.3 mln tons of sweet roots have been harvested.

In terms of gross grain harvest, the leaders are agricultural producers in Odesa region – 4.4 mln tons, Poltava region – 4 mln tons, and Vinnytsia region – 3.3 mln tons. In terms of yields, farmers in Khmelnytsky region are ahead with 6.83 t/ha, Bukovyna – 6.49 t/ha, and Chernihiv – 6.35 t/ha.
