Ukraine to create digital system for monitoring soybean and rapeseed exports
The Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine is working on a unified digital system to improve control over customs payments during the export of soybeans and rapeseed. Minister Oleksii Soboliev explained in an interview with Forbes.ua that the initiative aims to establish real-time monitoring through a state register and an automated exchange of information between the customs and tax authorities. The government plans to launch the system by September 2026.
According to Soboliev, the upcoming IT solution will be similar in complexity to the electronic VAT administration system (SEА VAT) and is expected to ensure greater transparency and efficiency in export operations. Preliminary data indicate that after the introduction of export duties on soybeans and rapeseed, the share of domestic processing has notably increased, contributing to the growth of Ukraine’s agricultural processing sector.
