Since the beginning of 2026, Ukraine has secured access to 29 new export markets for agricultural and food products across 13 countries and the European Union. This was reported by the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection (SSUFSCP). The new agreements cover plant and animal products, animal feed, food products and planting material. Expanded access to international markets creates additional opportunities for Ukrainian producers and exporters.

One of the key achievements was the approval of Ukrainian flour exports to China. New export opportunities have also been opened for egg products to Vietnam and Egypt, as well as milk and dairy products to Chile. Egypt has additionally authorized imports of Ukrainian table eggs and fish products. Meanwhile, Côte d’Ivoire has opened its market to poultry meat, poultry products and beef, while Iraq and Georgia have approved imports of beef and processed beef products.

Particular attention has been given to expanding exports of animal feed and processed products. Ukrainian producers have gained access to markets for pet food in Egypt and Korea, processed feed in Albania, and plant-based feed, processed animal protein and rendered fats in Georgia. These new export opportunities are expected to support export diversification and create additional prospects for Ukraine’s feed and processing industries.

In addition, exports of live animals and planting material have been approved. Algeria has opened its market to Ukrainian cattle intended for slaughter, fattening and breeding, while Egypt has authorized imports of sheep for slaughter. Moldova has approved imports of live snails, snail eggs and meat products. Meanwhile, the European Union has granted market access to Ukrainian planting material of certain maple and cherry species and their hybrids.

The SSUFSCP emphasized that opening new export markets is the result of cooperation between government authorities, diplomatic missions and Ukrainian businesses. Expanding exports of value-added products is particularly important for developing domestic processing and reducing dependence on raw material exports. However, securing market access only creates opportunities for future shipments, while actual export volumes will depend on demand, the competitiveness of Ukrainian products and compliance with importing countries’ requirements.
