Ukraine. Only 13% of corn remains to be harvested

As of January 19, 2023, grain and leguminous crops were harvested on an area of 11 million hectares (95%) at a yield of 4.73 tons/ha, with 51.9 million tons of grain harvested, including

• wheat harvested on 4.979 million hectares (100%), yielding 4.05 tons per hectare, and 20.2 million tons;
• barley was harvested on 1.7 million hectares (100%), with a yield of 3.47 tons/ha, and 5.8 million tons were harvested;
• peas were harvested on 118 thou hectares (100%), with a yield of 2.28 /ha, and 269 thou tons were harvested;
• 3.7 million hectares (87%) of corn were harvested, with a yield of 6.61 tons/ha, and 24.4 million tons were harvested;
• buckwheat was harvested on 116 thousand hectares (98%), with a yield of 1.37 tons/ha, and 158.5 thousand tons were harvested;
• millet was harvested on 44.7 thou hectares (99%), with a yield of 2.28 tons/ha, and 101.8 thou tons were harvested.

In addition, sunflower harvesting is almost complete on an area of 4.8 million hectares (99%), with 10.5 million tons of seeds harvested at a yield of 2.17 tons/ha;

• soybean harvested on the area of 1.5 million hectares (100%), harvested 3.7 million tons at a yield of 2.43 tons/ha (last year on the same date, 1.3 million hectares (100%) were harvested at a yield of 26.8 c/ha, harvested 3.4 million tons);
• rapeseed was harvested on the area of 1.1 mln ha (100%), 3.2 mln tons of seeds were harvested at the yield of 2.86 tons/ha (last year on the corresponding date 1 mln 14 thou ha were harvested (100%) at the yield of 2.86 tons/ha, 2.9 mln tons were harvested);
• sugar beets were dug on an area of 180.5 thousand hectares, (100%) 9 million tons of sweet roots were dug at a yield of 501.5 c/ha (last year on the corresponding date 226 thousand hectares were dug (100%) at a yield of 47 tons/ha, 10.6 million tons were dug).

Agrarians in Mykolaiv, Odesa, Bukovyna, Vinnytsia and Ternopil regions have completed harvesting all crops this year.

Agricultural producers in Poltava region harvested 5.4 million tons of grain.

The highest yield of grain and pulses was recorded in Khmelnytsky region at 7.08 tons/ha.
