Ukraine exported 1 mln tons of rapeseed and soybeans after the introduction of tariffs
Since the Law of Ukraine No. 4536-ІХ came into force on September 4, 2025, Ukrainian farmers have already exported more than 1 million tons of soybeans and rapeseed.
This was reported by the press service of the State Customs Service of Ukraine.
The law introduced an export duty on these oilseed crops. At the same time, agricultural producers who export their own grown products, as well as agricultural cooperatives that export products grown by their members, are exempted from paying it.
Thanks to this mechanism, farmers have already received benefits from paying export duty in the amount of more than UAH 345 million, while traders have paid UAH 742.7 million in export duty to the state budget.
“The first million tons of exported agricultural crops is another step towards strengthening the positions of Ukrainian agricultural products on world markets,” customs officials state.
Further development of the grain and oilseed markets of Ukraine and the Black Sea region will be in the spotlight of the BLACK SEA GRAIN. KYIV conference, taking place on April 22–23 in Kyiv. The event will focus on strategic directions for the agricultural sector through 2030, including investments, energy independence, processing, and exports of high-value products.
