Tunisia purchases 75 thsd tons of wheat in tender
Tunisia’s grain agency (ODC) held a tender on June 4 to purchase 75,000 tonnes of milling wheat of optional origin, with shipment scheduled between July 10 and August 15. According to tender terms, offers were submitted by Thursday, with supply expected from the Black Sea region, Eastern Europe, and the Mediterranean.
Following the results, Bunge won the tender, offering the full volume at $268.16 per tonne on a C&F basis. An alternative bid included 25,000 tonnes at $267.59 per tonne; however, the final contract was awarded for the full volume at the higher price.
Shipments will be delivered in three 25,000-tonne consignments from July to mid-August 2026, allowing Tunisia to evenly distribute imports and maintain stable food wheat inventories.
