Time for ships to leave the Sulin Canal has increased to 2–3 days

The waiting time for ships to exit the Sulina Canal has increased to 2–3 days due to the increase in the number of ships.

This was reported by Avalon Shipping Operations Manager Kateryna Kononenko.

According to her, the main reasons for the delays remain the shortage of pilots and the lack of free anchorages in the Tulcea area.

Currently, a ship needs about 2–3 days to pass the section and enter the open sea.

Kononenko also noted that vessels transporting livestock retain priority when exiting the canal.
