Ship with stolen Ukrainian grain returns to Russia after two countries refuse to accept cargo
The bulk carrier PANORMITIS (IMO: 9445021), which is transporting grain from the occupied territories of Ukraine, has entered the Dardanelles and is likely returning to Russia after two countries refused to accept the cargo. This was reported by Kateryna Yaresko, a journalist with the SeaKrime investigative project of the Myrotvorets Center.
According to her, the vessel may unload the grain consignment in the Russian ports of Kavkaz or Novorossiysk.
A month ago, on April 25, 2026, SeaKrime reported that PANORMITIS was heading to Haifa with grain exported from occupied Berdyansk. At that time, the Israeli agrotrader refused this consignment.
After that, the bulk carrier tried to unload in Iskenderun, Turkey, but this attempt was also unsuccessful.
According to Kateryna Jaresko, the return of the vessel to the Black Sea may mean that an attempt will be made to sell the compromised batch of grain to another buyer.
