Serbia’s autumn-sown wheat area up 5.8% y/y in 2021
Serbia put to wheat 627,216 ha last autumn, up 5.8% compared to 2020, the national statistical office said.
The autumn sowings of barley were 5.7% lower on a yearly comparison basis in 2021, while rye sowings were 12.9% higher, the statistical office said in a statement on Monday.
Serbia harvested 3.54 million tonnes of wheat in 2021 from 594,069 ha sown, the statistical office said earlier.
