Russian missile leaves 10-meter crater in a Polish field

During the night of July 30, a Russian Kh-101 cruise missile entered Polish airspace and crashed into a field near the village of Tarnawa-Kolonia in the Lublin Voivodeship. Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported the incident. Photos and videos released from the scene show a crater approximately 10 meters in diameter. According to Polish media, the government believes the object was a Russian missile, while authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.

For Poland, the incident is another reminder that Russia’s war extends beyond Ukraine’s borders. For Ukrainian farmers, however, craters left by missiles and drones in agricultural fields have long become a grim reality, alongside mined farmland, destroyed machinery, and damaged crops that have become a recurring consequence of the full-scale war.
