Romanian corn prices remain consistently high amid heatwave in the EU
Romanian corn remains close to USD 240-243/mt FOB Constanta for the nearest delivery, being now the most expensive grain. The price is following Matif and the news on the heatwave in the Northern part of the EU, particularly in France and Germany.

The weather in France is influential for the EU market. According to EuroStat, for the 2 consecutive seasons, France outperformed Romania, being more important corn supplier for the EU domestic destinations, particularly to closely located Netherlands, Belgium and Spain.
