Price of a ton of Ukrainian agricultural exports increased 1.4 times

In Ukraine, the price of a ton of agricultural exports increased to $443 as of April 2025, compared to $315 last year. This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Vitaliy Koval.
According to him, this was achieved by increasing the export of value-added products. In particular, bioethanol.
In addition, the average prices of the top 5 export products per ton also increased:
- sunflower oil – $1,174, which is 37.8% more than in 2024 ($852);
- corn – $217, which is 27.1% more than the average price in 2024 ($171);
- wheat – $231, which is 27.4% more than the average price in 2024 ($181);
- poultry meat – $2385, which is 11.2% more than the average price in 2024 ($2145);
- soybeans – $409, which is 4.3% more than the average price in 2024 ($392).
In total, since the beginning of the year, exports of agricultural products from Ukraine amounted to $1.1 billion or 2.5 million tons.
“The Ministry of Agrarian Policy continues to work on diversifying sales markets and expanding the export potential of the processing industry,” Koval added.
Earlier, the State Customs Service reported that during January-March 2025, goods worth $18.5 billion were imported to Ukraine, and $9.9 billion were exported.
As reported, in 2024, exports of Ukrainian goods increased by 15% to $41.64 billion, while imports of goods to Ukraine increased by 8.6% to $69 billion.
In 2023, Ukraine’s trade turnover amounted to $99.4 billion. In particular, goods worth $63.5 billion were imported to Ukraine, and $36 billion were exported.
