MK Group completes acquisition of Serbia’s largest vegetable oil producer Dijamant
Serbia’s diversified conglomerate MK Group has completed the acquisition of edible oil producer Dijamant from Croatia’s Fortenova Group after receiving all necessary regulatory approvals. The transaction was officially closed following the completion of all required procedures.
MK Group said the integration process will focus on ensuring uninterrupted operations, business stability, and the continuity of relationships with partners and customers. The company also emphasized its commitment to supporting employees and maintaining operational resilience.
The acquisition of Dijamant is part of MK Group’s strategy to expand its agri-food division and strengthen its position in the regional agricultural and food sector. The group aims to improve efficiency, enhance innovation, and create additional value across its portfolio.
The deal also marks Fortenova Group’s exit from the agricultural sector. Agreed in January, it represents one of the most significant transactions in the Adriatic food and agriculture industry, although financial terms were not disclosed.
Dijamant, Serbia’s largest vegetable oil producer, reported revenues of 22.2 billion dinars and a net profit of 1.7 billion dinars in 2025. The company employs around 800 people and is one of the key players in the country’s food industry.
