Kuleba calls on Africa and Asia to take joint action against food terrorism
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has called on African and Asian countries to take joint measures against food terrorism. The diplomat wrote about it on Twitter.
Kuleba reminded that at night Russia struck another Ukrainian grain storage facility.
“Russia is trying to achieve concessions by holding 400 million people hostage. I call on all countries, especially those in Africa and Asia that have suffered the most from rising food prices, to take joint global measures against food terrorism,” the minister said.
The Russian army has been attacking Odesa and the region, including ports and grain storage facilities, every night since July 17, after it unilaterally withdrew from the grain deal. On July 19, the Russians destroyed 60,000 tons of grain destined for China.
The strikes destroyed a hangar with grain, damaged tanks for storing other types of cargo, and set a fire in one of the production facilities.
