Kazakhstan significantly increased wheat exports
Kazakhstan exported 2.6 million tons of new crop grain from September to November 13, the Ministry of Agriculture reported, citing the railway company KTZ. In the same period in 2024, this figure was only 2.2 million tons, which indicates a significant increase.
The largest increase in exports is observed to neighboring countries: — Uzbekistan — +41% (from 872 thousand tons to 1,232 thousand tons), — Kyrgyzstan — 2.2 times (from 32 thousand tons to 73 thousand tons), — Azerbaijan — +30% (from 50 thousand tons to 65 thousand tons), — Afghanistan — +35% (from 100 thousand tons to 135 thousand tons).
This positive trend is explained by a number of factors: favorable weather conditions for grain, increased storage capacity, and improved transport logistics.
Analysts believe that Kazakhstan is strengthening its position in the global wheat market, particularly in the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus.
