Kazakh flour exports quickened in recent months
165 KMT of Kazakh flour was exported in December (-11% from November and -12% from December 2020/21). 586 KMT had been exported this season. This is 23% lower compared to the same period of last year, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Flour exports from Kazakhstan are made mostly to the four traditional destinations: Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
As before, the top buyer is Afghanistan, which absorbs 62% of Kazak exports.
The following countries reduced flour imports from Kazakhstan compared to the same time last year: Afghanistan (-35%), Tajikistan (+15%), China (up 2 times).
Other importers increased purchases from last season: Uzbekistan (+12%), Tajikistan (up 2.5 times).
