Israel releases Russian ship carrying stolen Ukrainian grain
Despite Ukraine’s demand to detain a ship that delivered a shipment of grain stolen from the occupied territories to the port of Haifa, Israel has released it.
This was reported by Axios journalist Barak Ravid.
As noted, today Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar sent a text message to his Ukrainian counterpart Andriy Sybiza.
“I wrote that, unfortunately, it is too late, and the ship has already sailed from the port of Haifa, so it cannot be detained,” the report says.
It is also noted that the Israeli Foreign Ministry knew about this ship two weeks before its arrival at the port.
“Ukrainian high-ranking officials inform me that they have made it clear to Israel that they demand the confiscation of the wheat cargo,” the journalist added.
