Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, during a phone call with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, stressed the unacceptability of a Russian vessel carrying grain taken from occupied Ukrainian territories being allowed to dock at an Israeli port.

Sybiha emphasized that the незаконный export of stolen agricultural products is part of Russia’s broader war effort and should not be tolerated.

The two officials also discussed security issues and the situation in the Middle East, exchanging views on possible future developments in the region.

They reaffirmed their mutual interest in advancing bilateral relations and agreed to maintain close contact, particularly on security matters.

Earlier, Axios journalist Barak Ravid reported that Ukraine had requested clarification from Israel regarding a vessel believed to be part of Russia’s so-called “shadow fleet.”

According to the report, the ship docked at the port of Haifa carrying wheat allegedly sourced from Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia during the war.

Ravid noted that the incident could constitute a serious breach of U.S. and international sanctions imposed on Russia and would contradict Israel’s stated policy.
