Export sales of soybean oil from the US have decreased by 57% since the beginning of the season
According to weekly export sales data released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), net sales of U.S. soybean meal for the 2025/26 marketing year totaled 616,000 metric tons for the week ending December 11, 2025, compared to 275,000 metric tons in the previous week.
Year-to-date, total soybean meal shipments have increased 10% year-over-year. The USDA forecasts a 5% increase for the full year.
Net soybean oil sales since the beginning of December totaled 8,600 metric tons, higher than the previous week’s figure (1,200 metric tons), but below market expectations. Year-to-date, total soybean oil export sales have declined 57% year-over-year, compared to the USDA’s full-year forecast of 64%.
