Despite Russia’s withdrawal from the grain deal. Egypt will continue to buy grain from Ukraine
“We are unhappy with Russia’s withdrawal from the UN agreement on grain exports,” said Egyptian Minister of Supply Ali al-Museilehi, criticizing Russia’s withdrawal from the grain deal.
The politician added that despite such actions of the Kremlin, his country will continue to receive Ukrainian wheat through Europe. According to him, the Egyptian government is also negotiating with the United Arab Emirates to allocate $400 million for the purchase of grain.
Due to Russia’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine, the Egyptian economy has suffered heavy losses from the rise in wheat prices. Despite the fact that grain prices began to decline, the withdrawal of the aggressor country, Russia, from the grain agreement again increased the cost of grain crops.
